Ubudiah Mosque

A most prominent landmark in the royal town of Kuala Kangsar is the glorious Ubudiah Mosque, at Bukit Chandan. The mosque is reputed to be one of the most beautiful in Malaysia. It has exquisite touches of Islamic architecture in its magnificent golden domes and minarets. It was constructed at the turn of the twentieth century during the reign of Sultan Idris Murshidul Adzam Shah 1, the 28th Sultan of Perak. The mosque was officially opened in 1917.
